東山雅風ことセキセイ株式会社代表取締役会長 西川雅夫の創作した輪島塗ボールペン「雅風」は、伊勢志摩サミット2016年6月に開催されたG7の首脳会議にて安倍首相より各国参加者へ贈られました。

鶴のデザインは皇族が代々使用してきたテーマです。朝日の下で羽ばたく鶴のつがいの優美さに平和の願いが込められています。
セキセイ株式会社が大阪のメーカーであり輪島塗がい日本の代表的な伝統工芸品であることが輪島塗ボールペン雅風が選ばれた理由だと思われます。

雅風は安倍首相から米国のトランプ大統領、中国の習近平国家主席、ドイツのメルケル首相、ロシアのプーチン大統領他各国代表への贈り物として、G20サミットの席上に置かれました。

Wajimanuri Maki-e Ball Point Pen “GAFU”, designed by SEKISEI Chairperson Masao Nishikawa (artist name Gafu Hitashiyama) was selected as a gift from Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for the leaders of　Ise-Shima Summit 2016 held in June.
The design of cranes is the motif that has been traditionally used by the Japanese imperial family.
The artist designed the beauty of a couple of cranes flying in the sky under the glorious morning sun to symbolize the hope for peace.
SEKISEI is an Osaka based manufacturer and Wajimanuri Maki-e is a representative traditional craft of Japan – those are possible reasons why Wajimanuri Maki-e Ball Point Pen “GAFU” was selected.
